My husband and I went to the beach a few weeks
ago to celebrate our 23rd anniversary.
It was so nice and relaxing; we stayed on the beach all day.
I may or may not have taken two one hour naps in one day!
We don't ever buy each other gifts for our anniversary
because we always take a vacation and I don't ever know what to buy him.
This year we found some cool seashells so I thought I
would decorate an old picture frame with some of the shells
and put our picture from the beach in it.
I washed off all the shells and let them air dry.
This is the picture frame..
First I arranged the shells on the frame then picking up the
shells one at a time, I added hot glue to the back of the shell
and then placed it back where it was on the frame.
After hot gluing all the shells and burning
myself ten hundred times, it's finished...
Then I just printed our picture from my phone
(I forgot to take my camera to the beach)
and placed it in the frame.
Usually we just add our seashells to a big vase that we've been
collecting shells in for years but I wanted to make something special.
My husband always goes for the whole shells but I
love the broken pieces of shells so that's what I go for.
What do you do with the seashells that you collect from the beach?
