Okay, who remembers my love for boxes?
My husband gives me such a hard time about all of my boxes that I save.
I mean, it's such a big deal in the family that Grandboy even saves
cereal boxes for me at his house! Bless his heart.
I finally had to break down all of my boxes and organize them so that
my husband would stop making fun of me.
But that's okay though. He'll need one of my boxes one day.
We have been using an old napkin holder to keep
our mail in and we have outgrown that so I needed
something with more room because it was getting a little out of control.
Looking at that makes me feel like I'm choking!
We do have a box for important papers and such but some things
that we may need from time to time I like to keep in my mail
holder for quick access.
So I picked out a box that looked about the size I needed and
then I picked out some pretty scrap-booking paper and got
out my Mod Podge and went to work.
First I cut the box down a bit, in half down the middle, long ways.
I cut the paper to the size I needed for the ends of the box
and I spread the Mod Podge on the box one section at a time
and applied the paper.
I went through the mail and threw some things out like expired insurance policies
and organized the mail in order of importance.
Now I have plenty of room to stick my new bills in there.
I like to have my bills that are due to be payed standing up so
that we can easily see what they are.
This is sorta our "command center".
Anyway, I love my new mail holder. It's cute
and much more organized.
Now my husband doesn't think I'm such a "crazy box lady" after all!
