I was thinking about some of the things Grandboy has
said and done that are unforgettable and just wanted to share
this little story with you.
October 2009, Grandboy was 2 and we were
starting to decorate for Halloween.
His Momma got a few pumpkins and they were going to decorate them.
Of course she was going to carve hers so she got
a knife and started to cut the pumpkin.
Grandboy starts crying. I mean really crying with really big tears.
Like his heart was broken.
When his Momma started comforting him and asking what was wrong,
he said that she was hurting the pumpkin with the knife!
She explained that the pumpkin couldn't feel anything
and got him calmed down a little.
Look at that big ole tear, poor little buddy was so upset.
So they only carved one pumpkin and they painted the other two.
He didn't want to hurt anymore pumpkins feelings.
He has always been a compassionate child and it melts my heart that he
cares about others feelings so much, even if it is just a pumpkin.
