Oh my goodness!
I had a wonderful idea and we tried it and
it turned out great. We love fudge and we were
making fudge with dark chocolate morsels and
I told my husband that we should try making fudge with
the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that we had gotten that day.
I love me some peanut butter cups and the thought of making fudge
with them made my mouth water.
I have no idea why I never thought of it before.
To make it easier for the peanut butter cups to melt, we cut
them up but I also think it would be yumminess
to have a few big chunks of them in the fudge.
We are ditching the fudge we made with the dark chocolate.
My husband is taking it to work for his coworkers to enjoy.
This fudge is so rich and sweet but
oh so yummy and d'lish.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
10 ounces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
(1 bag of miniature Reese's and 4 regular Reese's)
Unwrap all of the peanut butter cups before you start the cooking and set aside.
In a large pot combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until it's at the candy soft ball stage or 238 degrees if you have a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat. Add vanilla, marshmallow creme and Reese's. Stir until everything is well combined and chocolate is melted. Pour onto buttered dish and let cool.
